Serve this pleasing golden rice with tofu or with steamed vegetables. Basmati and jasmine are flavorful long-grain rices that are sole in healthy food stores and some supermarkets. Regular long-grain brownish-red rice could also be used.
Ingredients
- 1/4 crater unfeeling broth
- 1 cup dry brownish-red basmati rice
- 1/3 crater slivered almonds
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/8 teaspoon belligerent cardamom
- 1/8 teaspoon belligerent ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 crater golden raisins
- 2 cups hot water
- 1 crater solidified immature peas, thawed
Method
Heat unfeeling gas in a vast pot. Add rice and prepare over middle heat, stirring constantly, until rice becomes ambiguous and rather chalky-looking, about 2 minutes.
Add almonds, cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, turmeric, and salt. Cook 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Stir in raisins and hot water. Cover and cook until rice is proposal and all a H2O is absorbed, about 60 minutes.Stir in peas only before serving.

- 8.6 g sugar
- 6.4 g sum fat
- 25.7% calories from fat
- 5.5 g fiber
- 218 mg sodium
