Baby with rare condition successfully operated upon in Kolkata

 A group of neurosurgeons in Kolkata, successfully operated on a baby innate with a singular neural condition that gives a sense of carrying dual heads – a condition seen in one out of 45,000 children opposite a globe.

The anomaly, termedencephalomeningocele – aprotrusion of mind and a protecting layers – ‘mimics’ a normal conduct and creates it seem as if a child (eight month old) had dual heads.

‘The condition mimics a conduct and gives an coming of dual heads,’ pronounced Sisir Das, a comparison consultant neurosurgeon during a Apollo Gleneagles Institute of Neurosciences, who achieved a procedure.

Das and a group of specialists were instrumental in stealing a cyst-like expansion that might be triggered by certain teratogenic agents (agents that means malformations in a foetus) like deviation etc.

One of a reasons, according to Das, is disaster on a partial of a profound mom to frequently take folic poison supplements during a rehearsal period.

‘The mom did not take any folic poison tablets that is required during pregnancy. This substantially resulted in a malformation,’ he said.
