Try this healthy brown rice methi pulao (fenugreek rice)

The brownish-red rice methi pulao is rich, delicious, healthy as good as filling. Choosing brownish-red rice over white rice is a healthier choice as brownish-red rice  has antioxidants, dietary twine and other essential nutrients that boost a defence system. The further of yogurt not usually adds essence though also creates this pulao a healthy low-fat dish.

Ingredients

• Brown Basmati Rice – 2 cups


• Fenugreek Leaves (Methi) – 1 garland (You can also use dusty kasoorimethi instead)


• Green Chillies – 3 (finely chopped)


• low fat Yogurt – 2 tblsp


• Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp


• Coriander Powder – 1 tsp


• Cumin/ Fennel Powder – 1 tsp


• Cumin seeds – 1/2 tsp


• Oil – 1 tblsp


• Salt – as needed


• Water – 3.5 cups

Directions

• Soak a rice for 45 minutes, empty it and keep it aside.


• Separate a fenugreek leaves and rinse it nicely.


• Heat oil in a vessel and splutter a cumin seeds.


• Add a immature chillies, turmeric powder, coriander powder and cumin powder. Saute for a minute.


• Add a fenugreek leaves (methi) and saute for a minute.


• Add a rice and grill it along with all for one minute.


• Add a yogurt, an exact volume of H2O and compulsory salt. Mix all together.


• Cook compartment a rice is totally done. You can prepare it in a rice cooker, vigour cooker or stove top.
