Onam 2014: Aviyal recipe

Aviyal recipeIngredients


  • ½  cup drumsticks , cut into 1″ prolonged pieces

  • ½  crater prolonged French beans, cut into 1″ prolonged pieces

  • ½  cup carrots, cut into 1” prolonged pieces

  • ½  crater yam (suran), cut into 1” pieces

  • ½  cup red pumpkin (bhopla / kaddu) cubes

  • 1 proposal banana, peeled and cut into 1” prolonged pieces

  • ½  cup uninformed immature peas

  • ½ crater brinjal (baingan / eggplant) cubes

  • ¼ tsp turmeric

  • Salt to taste

  • ½  cup uninformed curds (dahi), beaten (optional)

  • 2 tbsp coconut oil or any other polished oil

  • 1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)

  • 7 to 8 curry leaves (kadi patta)

  • To be belligerent to a well-spoken paste

  • 3/4 crater creatively grated coconut

  • 1 tsp cumin seeds (jeera)

  • 4 immature chillies, roughly chopped

  • 1/4 crater water

Method


  • Take a drumsticks with ¼ crater of H2O in a vessel, cover and prepare on a middle fire compartment they are half done.

  • Add a remaining vegetables, H2O if compulsory and salt, brew well, cover and prepare on a delayed fire compartment a vegetables are proposal (approx. 12 to 15 minutes).

  • Add a prepared pulp and ¼ crater of water, brew good and cook for 12 to 15 mins or compartment it turn semi-dry. Remove off a flame.

  • Take oil in a kadai feverishness it supplement cumin seeds and curry leaves and put it on a unfeeling and supplement curd.

  • Simmer for 2 to 3 mins and Serve hot.
