Navratri Special Recipe: Sprouts lentil salad

Navratri Special Recipe: Sprout Lentil SaladThis salad is a multiple of greens and sprouts flavoured with lemon and cilantro. This salad is an glorious source of fibre, iron, and vitamin C. 


Ingredients


  • 2 cups lentil sprouts (see note below) 

  • 1 splash sea salt 

  • 1 1/2 teaspoons curry powder 

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder 

  • 1 tablespoon white booze vinegar 

  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice 

  • 1/2 crater thinly sliced radishes 

  • 2 tablespoons chopped uninformed cilantro 

  • 1/3 crater really thinly sliced immature onions 

  • 1/2 crater chopped tomato 

  • 1/2 crater thinly sliced cucumber 

  • black pepper, to taste

Method


In a tiny bowl, drive together lemon juice, vinegar, garlic powder, curry powder, salt, and black pepper. Drizzle a sauce over a salad, and toss easily to coat. 


Note: To grow sprouts, start with a clean, wide-mouth quart jar. This distance jar allows we to grow adult to 2 cups of sprouts with small difficulty. The far-reaching mouth allows easier dismissal of a sprouts with minimal damage. 


Cover a bottom of a jar with a preferred volume of seed, generally not some-more than 1/4 cup. (Depending on a form of seed that is used, usually 1 or 2 tablespoons might be compulsory to fill a jar.) 


Cover a mouth of a jar with cheesecloth and secure with a rubber rope or screw-top ring, or use a commercially accessible screw-top growing lid. Soak a seeds for 8-12 hours in a volume of H2O during slightest double that of a seeds. This will alleviate a seed cloak for sprouting.
